Old Time Rock N’ Roll

Just take those old records off the shelf… That’s what Michael is doing while cleaning up his attic where he stumbles upon his stash of old records that have been collecting dust for decades. Let the nostalgia trip begin! Come and jump back in time to that by gone age when TV’s were a huge piece of furniture that sat on the floor, and phones were olive green and hung on the wall! All the greatest records, containing all the greatest songs are in that attic just waiting for us to let them spin again. Celebrations Dinner Theatre presents Old Time Rock and Roll… a trip back through the wonder years!

Who’s ready to step back in time? We are so happy you are here with us tonight so we can whisk you away in our time machine to a long ago place. A time when things were so different and yet …. in some ways very much the same. With the fantastic cast we have assembled and our amazing production team, I think we were really able to make this show a wonderful nostalgic trip that everyone will enjoy. It’s all set to many of the biggest hit songs of the time … tunes we all know and love … so don’t be afraid to clap your hands or even sing along.

A special shout out to a couple of our wonderful Season Ticket holders who helped inspire the idea for this show.

So c’mon … let’s take those old records off the shelf and listen to some Old Time Rock ‘N Roll.

Cast Bios

Mark Kazakov, Paul

Mark is ecstatic to be back on stage at Celebrations. He recently graduated from the University of Calgary with a BFA in Drama, while on tour in Winnipeg with Jubilation's Runaway Bridesmaids. Over the past year he has primarily been back and forth between Winnipeg and Edmonton, diving into shows with the company such as Buddy Holly's Happy Days and More Dirty Dancing. When he's not working with Jubilation's, Mark is a Professional Stilt Walker/Runner/Dancer with Green Fools Theatre, an Improviser with Loose Moose Theatre and whenever possible, worked doing "Pochinko" Style Clown with the late but great Calgary International Kid's Festival. Thank-you so much for being here to support live theatre.

Kat Fullerton, Della

Kat Fullerton couldn’t be more excited to return the Celebrations stage! You may have seen her last as Gloria in Modern Family Vacation or in Night at the Museum of Country Music as Lady Gaga/The Devil. Kat is an award winning Marilyn Monroe impersonator who has been featured in the UK newspaper The Sun and in Vogue Italia. You can follow her on social media as “Almost Marilyn”. She’d like to thank you personally (yes, you!) for coming out tonight and supporting live theatre and she hopes you are ready to rock and roll!

Ethan Snowden, Mikey

Ethan Snowden recently attended MacEwan University’s Theatre Arts program, where he performed in the Drowsy Chaperone, Footloose and Into the Woods. You may recognize Ethan from AMTC’s Jack and the Beanstalk, or from the Edmonton Fringe in The Five Stages of Death and Urinetown. However lately you will mostly find him in a stuffy soundbooth or spending quality time with his wife and son.

Kate Cunningham, Mary

Kate is thrilled to be performing in her first Celebrations Dinner Theatre production! In 2018, she played Beth in The Murder of Barnaby Hall, for which she won the Best Lead Actor award at the Calgary High School Drama Festival. After earning a certificate in Motion Picture Arts from Capilano University, Kate decided to return to the excitement of the stage. She is looking forward to going back in time with the cast, crew, and audience of Old Time Rock and Roll!

Tatyana Yakubowich, Lizzy / Daughter

This is Tatyana’s first show with Celebrations, and she is very excited to be working and sharing the stage with such a talented group of wonderful people. Tatyana is a graduate from Macewan University’s Theatre Arts program (2017). Her past credits include “The Drowsy Chaperone” (Trix the Aviatrix), “Footloose”, and “Into the Woods” (Jack’s Mother). Tatyana would like to thank her incredibly supportive friends and family. Cheers!

Dan Allen, Micheal

Dan is excited to be back in Winnipeg again for another Celebrations show! Dan began his career with Jubilations way back in the 90's in the country hit 'Flatland Jamboree'. More recently Dan has appeared in 'Modern Family Vacation', 'Flashdance: An 80's Flashback', and 'Runaway Bridesmaids' in Winnipeg over the last few years. This last year, Dan has been on tour around Western Canada performing in 'More Dirty Dancing' and 'Buddy Holly's Happy Days' at our sister theatres. Now sit back and enjoy the show!
